Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG)
This procedure helps you lose weight by limiting the amount you can eat and, being non-surgical, reduces the risk of complications. Like any other procedure or treatment with this goal, endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty requires the patient’s commitment to a healthy lifestyle and long-term changes in diet and physical activity to help ensure success over time.
Intragastric Balloon
It is a treatment to lose weight and combat obesity. It consists of introducing a silicone balloon orally into the stomach for 6 months to 1 year, without surgery. It is accompanied by sedation so that the patient does not feel discomfort. Once placed in the stomach, the Balloon is filled with physiological saline, dyed blue, to cause a feeling of satiety, suppress appetite, allow the patient to eat smaller portions and follow a low-calorie diet.
Procedures for patients with weight gain after bariatric surgery
There is the possibility that after bariatric surgery such as gastric By-Pass or gastric sleeve, a portion of the previously lost weight may be recovered again. Fortunately this can be corrected with a series of endoscopic procedures which do not require major surgery.
